Miss Crabb (now Gloria) is a New Zealand clothing line established in 2004. Supporting high-quality local production is an important value of the brand. Miss Crabb takes a subversive approach to shape, proportion and beauty so each piece transcends time, age and place. The clothes are made to be interpreted by the wearer, encouraging singularity and freedom.
Flowing watery illustrations have been chosen to reflect the range by Miss Crabb. Sheer fabrics, the volume of materials and the clothing shapes are subtly represented in the illustrations, resulting in an evocative, dreamy interpretation of the clothing.
The Dreams Come True 2004-2019 Coin, is a celebretory collaborative project between Miss Crabb and Maeve Woodhouse ; jeweller and creative director of Auckland jewels Hera Saabi. With each side art directed by Kristine Crabb and Maeve Woodhouse, I drew illustrations that were transformed into the 3D printed metal coins.
